After Karachi, security guard kills his employer in Lahore

A security guard shot dead the owner of a private security company in Lahore's Ghalib Market, it emerged on Tuesday. 

According to police, the accused stated in his initial confession that he killed the owner due to his strict behavior towards employees.

The victim, identified as Ghulam Rasool, had just arrived at the parking lot of his office when the incident occurred.

CCTV footage showed the suspect approaching Rasool and shooting him in the head.

Following the incident, bystanders in the market apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the cops.

The police rushed the dead body to the hospital for a post-mortem examination and registered a case to launch an investigation into the murder.

This incident in Lahore adds to a string of two recent shootings by security guards, which claimed the lives of a YouTuber and a teenager in Karachi.

A security guard killed a 35-year-old man at Serena Mobile Market. The deceased was a father of two who made a living through TikTok and Vlogging.

A few days ago in North Karachi, an argument erupted between a security guard and a 17-year-old boy over picking up garbage. 

The guard reportedly became angry and shot the boy in the stomach.

The injured teenager was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medical assistance where he succumbed to injuries while the accused managed to escape the scene.
