23 offloaded from buses and trucks, shot dead in Balochistan's Musakhel

At least 23 passengers were picked out with the help of their National Identity Cards (NICs), forcibly offloaded from buses and trucks and then shot dead by unidentified assailants in Balochistan's Musakhel on Monday morning.
Assistant Commissioner Najeeb Kakar said armed men blocked the inter-provincial highway near the Rarasham district and killed nearly two dozen people.
“Ten vehicles were also set on fire by armed men,” he informed while talking to media.
Kakar added that the police and Levies officials reached the spot, and the bodies were shifted to the hospital.
According to Kakar, all the victims who were killed in the deadly incident belonged to Punjab.
Police officials said that the reason behind the deadly attack was unclear, however, an investigation was launched to probe the matter.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi condemned the incident and expressed sorrow for the victims targeted in the incident.
He termed the incident extreme action against innocent people and vowed to bring criminals to justice.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz also expressed condolence over the deadly incident.
Earlier on April 13, 11 people were killed in Balochistan’s Noshki, of which nine belonged to Punjab. At least five were injured in the incident.
