Fasting woman beaten to death by son for delaying breakfast in Gujrat

A heart-wrenching incident of domestic violence took place in Gujrat, where an enraged man allegedly beat his mother to death with an iron rod over a delay in breakfast.

The tragic incident occurred on Monday in Mararian village, which falls under the jurisdiction of Industrial Estate-2 police station.

According to local police, the accused, identified as Usman Nawaz, had asked his mother, Razia, to prepare breakfast for him. However, as Razia was fasting, she told her son that she was resting and would prepare the meal shortly.

Angered by the delay, Usman brutally struck his mother with an iron rod, killing her on the spot.

Following the incident, police immediately arrived at the crime scene and arrested Usman. Razia’s body was later sent to Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital (ABSTH) for a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the accused’s brother, Farman Ali, filed a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 302 of the Pakistan Penal Code (PPC) against Usman.
