Gunmen snatch 'donation box' from Imam in a mosque in Lahore

A brazen robbery occurred at a mosque in Lahore's Sunder area, where three gunmen took the Imam hostage and made off with the donation box, it emerged on Saturday.

According to police, the robbers fled with the stolen money after committing the crime.

A case has been registered at a police station and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the culprits.

In a separate incident, armed robbers escaped with Rs1 crore from an iron merchant in Lahore's Gujarpura area. 

The robbers in a car targeted the businessman on Friday afternoon, snatching a shopping bag filled with cash at gunpoint. 

CCTV footage revealed two robbers exiting a car, stealing the bag, and fleeing in reverse gear. 

The victim, an iron merchant from Gujranwala, had arrived in Lahore when the robbery occurred.
