A police investigation on Tuesday disclosed new details about a housemaid’s mysterious death in a bungalow in the Defence House Authority (DHA) area in Karachi.

Farya was a domestic worker at a doctor's residence in Khayaban-e-Bukhari for the past one year.
The homeowner initially claimed Farya committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan.
The teenage domestic help was not killed, but committed suicide because she was tired of blackmailing, the details of the ongoing probe revealed.
According to DIG South Asad Raza, the homeowner was absent at the time of Farya's death. She was reportedly alone in the house.
She was reportedly friends with a man named Karan, who allegedly subjected her to blackmail, which led to a heated argument between them.
Faraya's family is currently in Hyderabad for her burial. A case will be registered upon their return.
Karan, who has been missing since the incident, is actively being sought by authorities.
