Karachi man who sold wife's jewelry for treatment of daughter, killed by robbers

In a tragic incident of street crime in Karachi, a young man who sold his wife's jewellery to get his daughter treated was shot dead by robbers.
The tragic incident was reported in the Ahsanabad area near the Site Superhighway.
Farhan Khan who worked for a medical company and was a father of a young daughter, was reportedly struggling financially.
According to family members, Khan had sold his wife’s jewelry to raise money for his sick daughter’s treatment.
He was returning home with the money when he was attacked and killed by robbers who opened fire when he resisted. The robbers escaped with the money.
The incident has left Khan’s family devastated. They have complained that police have not yet contacted them or launched an investigation into the killing.
Earlier, the gunman of SSP West was killed by dacoits during a robbery incident in Karachi.
According to police, the incident occurred in Orangi Town Sector 10 area, where the robbers were attempting to loot a Suzuki en route to Sabzi Mandi in the port city.
A citizen, who was injured in the crossfire, recounted the events to Geo News at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
He said that the plainclothes police officer, identified as Abdul Ghaffar, fired at the bandits and injured one of the robbers.
