In an effort to warn citizens, Karachi police released a list of female domestic workers involved in robberies in the South district of the city.
The police shared the details, including pictures of the suspects, on social media to raise awareness and encourage residents to take precautionary measures.
The list features 110 domestic workers accused of organised theft and robbery at the homes where they were employed.
Citizens have been urged not to hire domestic workers without proper verification through relevant sources that can confirm their criminal history, if any.
The police have also requested residents to register their domestic workers' details with the authorities before employing them.
In a separate development, Karachi police recently issued an alert about the activities of the notorious "White Corolla Gang," which has been involved in kidnapping and looting individuals in the city.
On January 17, a businessman became a victim of the gang near Jamali Bridge on the M9 Motorway. According to the First Information Report (FIR), armed suspects wearing police caps intercepted the victim's vehicle.
The culprits held the businessman hostage in his own car and drove him to multiple locations, demanding information about the vehicle's tracker. After several hours, the kidnappers robbed the businessman of Rs. 415,000 in cash and abandoned him on the Northern Bypass before fleeing with his car.
