In a shocking turn of events, Karachi police arrested Shahnaz, a resident of Lyari, for stealing 20 tola gold from her neighbor's house and selling it to fund her Umrah pilgrimage.

According to police authorities, the incident took place in Baghdadi area of Lyari on October 27. The crime came to light after her husband, Imran, revealed her involvement during police questioning.

Imran, who was initially detained by the police, disclosed that his wife had been involved in the theft of the valuables.

After stealing the gold, she sold 17 tola of the stolen gold and used the money for personal expenses. Subsequently, she traveled to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah.

Upon her return from Umrah, Shahnaz was apprehended by the police, who recovered 3 tola of the stolen gold, as well as a substantial sum of Rs1,500,00 in cash from her possession.
