Katcha dacoits demand Rs8 mln ransom for release of bank employees in Kandhkot

Katcha dacoits near Kandhkot, Sindh, have demanded Rs8 million ransom for the release of five kidnapped bank employees.
Muhammad Alam Golo, Altaf Golo, Furqan, Gulab Dahani and Shah Nawaz Nasrani were abducted by the katcha dacoits a month ago.
According to the relatives, the dacoits have contacted them and demanded Rs80 lakh for the release of the hostages.
The relatives of the employees said the dacoits had threatened that if the ransom weren't paid, they would kill the hostages. They allege that the police and the Sindh government are not providing any assistance.
The relatives of the employees announced a sit-in protest near the Indus Highway tomorrow.
In a distressing turn of events, a dacoit attack on a police post in Ghotki resulted in the tragic loss of one officer's life and the abduction of two others, last week.
The incident unfolded in Ghotki, where a gang of dacoits launched a brazen assault on the police checkpoint, claiming the life of one brave policeman and forcibly taking two others into captivity.
Swift retaliation ensued as law enforcement authorities mobilized against the perpetrators, leading to the elimination of one notorious dacoit known as Amanullah, alias Amanu Sundrani.
