Lahore man rapes wife's friend to take 'revenge'

A disturbing incident of sexual abuse has come to light in Lahore, where a woman was allegedly raped by her friend's husband in an "act of revenge".

According to the police, the victim, identified as Shamshad Bibi, and Yasmin worked together at a private factory in the provincial capital.

The two had an argument two days before the incident, which led Yasmin to hatch a plan with her husband, Ali Sher, to take revenge on the victim.

The police stated that Ali Sher entered the victim's quarters, raped her and fled the scene after committing the heinous crime.

A case was registered against the suspects on the complaint of the victim.

The law enforcers used modern technology to track down the accused and arrest her from her brother's house in Chauburji area of Lahore.

The Superintendent of Police (SP) Model Town, Akhlaqullah Tarar, vowed to take strict action against Yasmin and Sher Ali.

"The exploiters of women do not deserve any concession," he said while talking to media.

The police are conducting raids to arrest the other accused in the case.
