Local female singer invited to perform at wedding ceremony 'gang-raped' in Muzaffargarh

A local female artist was allegedly gang-raped by three men at a wedding ceremony in Muzaffargarh, Punjab.

According to police, the woman, a resident of Muzaffargarh, was invited to perform at the wedding ceremony.

The woman stated that during the wedding function, the suspects pretended to be police officers and took her away, then sexually assaulted her along with their accomplices and fled the scene.

On the complaint of the woman, police have registered a case against the three suspects. Following the medical report, further investigation will be conducted.

However, initial findings confirm evidence of sexual assault. Police said that raids are being conducted to arrest the suspects.
