A man in Punjab' Arifwala, located within the jurisdiction of the Rang Shah police station, has been arrested for allegedly murdering his visually impaired father over a bitter property dispute.
According to initial reports from the police, the suspect attacked his father with a sharp-edged weapon, inflicting fatal injuries. The accused, whose name has not yet been disclosed, was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement following the murder. Authorities were able to recover the weapon used in the crime, which is expected to serve as key evidence during the investigation.
The father, who was visually impaired and had been reportedly engaged in a prolonged dispute with his son over property matters, tragically lost his life due to the violent attack.
Neighbors and local residents expressed disbelief at the incident, describing the deceased as a peaceful man who had been dealing with family tensions for some time. However, no one had anticipated that the disagreement would escalate into such a brutal act.
Following the arrest, the police sent the body to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
Local authorities have launched a thorough investigation into the case, aiming to piece together the events that led to the violent outburst. "We are examining all aspects of the case, and justice will be served," said a senior police officer involved in the case. He emphasized that the murder weapon had been recovered, and the suspect was cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
