A mother of three children was tragically killed by a bear in Mansehra, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The incident happened while she was farming in the Jagan area of Balakot. Locals report that bear attacks have become increasingly frequent in the town.

Although she was quickly taken to King Abdullah Hospital, she succumbed to her injuries.

Residents are calling for immediate action from the authorities to address the escalating bear threat in the region.

Family members and relatives went to the police station to register a case. Balakot DSP Cadet Farooq assured them that the police would hold department officials accountable.

Wildlife experts suggest that the prolonged heatwave may be driving bears into human settlements in search of food, resulting in more frequent encounters.

Authorities are being urged to implement urgent measures to protect residents and ensure that wildlife has adequate food and water to prevent future tragedies.
