Okara driver takes entire bus to police station after mobile phone theft

A Green Bus driver on Monday took the entire bus and its passengers directly to a police station after a passenger’s mobile phone was allegedly stolen during a journey in Renala Khurd, Okara.

According to details, the driver closed the bus doors as soon as he was informed about the theft and did not allow anyone to leave.

He then drove the bus to Sadar Police Station, where police began questioning and checking the passengers.

Police said the stolen mobile phone was recovered during the search and the suspect allegedly involved in the theft was arrested.

Legal proceedings against the suspect are underway.

A video and reports of the incident later surfaced on social media, where users praised the driver for his quick thinking and responsible action.

Several social media users also called for the driver and conductor to be rewarded for handling the situation responsibly.
