PIA flight steward caught smuggling 15 iPhones: Customs

Customs officials at the New Islamabad Airport took action against a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) steward after recovering 15 expensive iPhones.

According to details, the PIA flight steward arrived from Canada at the Islamabad airport with 15 expensive iPhones from him.

According to PIA's spokesperson, the arrested employee was traveling on a tourist visa as a passenger on the Canada-Islamabad flight.

During checking by customs officials upon arrival in Islamabad, modern smartphones were recovered from the employee.

The customs authorities have taken the employee into custody for legal action, and despite traveling in a personal capacity, the PIA administration has also issued a show-cause notice to the employee.

According to the spokesperson, the airline's administration does not tolerate any unauthorized actions by employees and does not show leniency to employees involved in illegal activities.
