Police arrest 21 over ‘obscene dance party’ in Karachi's DHA

Police in Karachi carried out a raid against an alleged dance party in the Defence Housing Authority (DHA) area, arresting multiple individuals.
According to Karachi South Police spokesperson, acting on a tip-off, the Darakhshan Police conducted a raid at Café K Club located in Phase 6, Chhota Nishat Commercial, Lane 4, where an obscene dance party was reportedly underway.
Police stated that loud music was being played while inappropriate dancing was taking place, and the use of sheesha (hookah), considered harmful to health, was also observed.
During the operation, 16 men and 5 women were arrested at the scene, while several others managed to escape.
Arrested suspects include, Ahmed, son of M. Babar, Ayan, son of Naveed, Ali, son of Hakeem, Osama, son of Asif Hussain, Faheem, son of Nazeer, Saif Khan, son of Asif Hussain, Asad, son of Farooq Hussain, Muhammad Ibrahim, son of Shahid, Mohib Ali, son of Hameed, Mahad, son of Qasim, Ali Khan, son of Junaid Khan, Tanzeel, son of Faisal, Naseer Ali, son of Imtiaz Ali, Abdullah, son of Muhammad, Ahsan, son of Muneer, Abdullah, son of Bashir, Kainat, wife of Tanzeel, Mishal daughter of Ubaid, Mahnoor, Aqsa Rehan and Nida.
Authorities recovered three sheesha units along with 11 different flavours, as well as a large JBL speaker, all of which were taken into custody.
A case has been registered against the suspects under relevant sections of the Pakistan Penal Code and the Sound System Ordinance 2015.
Further investigation is ongoing.
