Polio worker abducted, raped at gunpoint in Jacobabad

A disturbing incident has surfaced in Jacobabad, where a female polio worker was abducted and allegedly sexually assaulted by two armed men.

The incident took place in the village of Detha, within the jurisdiction of the Mola Dad police station.

Deputy Commissioner Zahur Mari reported that local police accompanied him to the scene and were able to successfully rescue the abducted woman.

The victim was promptly transported to JIMS Hospital under tight security for a medical examination to determine whether she had been sexually assaulted.

According to the victim's statement, the two attackers deceived her by pretending to be involved in polio work before assaulting her at gunpoint. 

Deputy Commissioner Mari has confirmed that the suspects have been identified and that efforts are underway to apprehend them soon.
