PUBG love: US girl reaches Pakistan to marry her Chitrali friend

 An 18-year-old American woman, Flores Sarah, traveled to Pakistan to marry her 23-year-old friend, Shahad Hussain, whom she had befriended three years ago through the online game PUBG.

According to Chitral police, the couple’s wedding ceremony took place on November 19 at a private hotel in Lower Chitral, officiated by Maulana Khaleeq-uz-Zaman, the Khateeb of Shahi Masjid Chitral.

Sarah's mother was present during the ceremony, ensuring her full consent.

Maulana Khaleeq-uz-Zaman stated that Sarah’s name remained unchanged as "Sarah" was already part of her full name.

The bride and her mother arrived in Chitral two days prior on a tourist visa and stayed at the hotel where the ceremony was conducted. Shahad Hussain hails from the Maroi area of Chitral.

Local resident Raeesuddin shared that the couple met on PUBG and maintained a three-year friendship before deciding to marry with Sarah’s mother’s approval.

He added that the wedding was celebrated with great enthusiasm and traditional rituals.

Sarah was dressed as a traditional bride, while her mother wore local attire and had henna applied.

The entire village was invited to the event, and news of the American bride attracted attendees from surrounding areas.
