In a brazen robbery incident, a dacoit, donning a Rangers uniform, looted a shop in Karachi, CCTV footage showed on Friday.

According to the CCTV video, an armed robber, who wore a surgical mask to conceal his identity, entered the Pakwan Center in Gulshan-e-Iqbal 13D area.

The robber made off with a bag filled with mobile phones and cash at gunpoint.

The police recorded the statement of the victim, who reported that the robber had looted Rs1.7-1.8 million in cash.

The victim revealed that the uniformed robber forced him into a car, where two civilians were already present.

The robbers drove him around for a while before releasing him. 

Despite the victim reporting the incident immediately, a case was not initially registered.

However, the police have since recorded the victim's statement and initiated legal proceedings.

According to SSP East, SP Gulshan-e-Iqbal was appointed as inquiry officer to investigate the incident.
