Karachi cop suspended for recording video with female TikToker

A TikTok video featuring a police officer in uniform with a woman smoking has gone viral on social media.

According to a spokesperson for SSP Korangi, the video, which gained significant attention online, has led to the suspension of Police Officer Safdar.

The spokesperson confirmed that Officer Safdar has been suspended, and Head Constable Abdullah Shah, the in-charge of Nasir Chowki, has been issued a show-cause notice for negligence regarding the incident.

A departmental inquiry has been initiated to investigate the matter, and efforts are underway to identify the woman seen in the video alongside the police officer.

The incident follows a similar case involving a female constable, Maria Gill, who was suspended earlier this year after a video of her recorded on Mai Kolachi Road went viral.

The DIG South issued the suspension orders, citing the police force's commitment to professionalism and the importance of maintaining discipline within its ranks.
