Two sisters, while recording a video for the social media platform TikTok, drowned in a canal located in the Naushahro Feroze area of Sindh province.

This tragic incident has drawn attention to the potential dangers associated with creating social media content in unsafe environments.

According to rescue sources, the sisters, residents of Kartarpur, were filming a TikTok video near the canal when they accidentally fell into the water. The swift current and depth of the canal proved to be perilous. Local swimmers immediately sprang into action and managed to save 13-year-old Ayesha, pulling her to safety from the treacherous waters.

However, despite their best efforts, the rescue officials are still searching for 18-year-old Rabia. The search operation as been ongoing, with divers and local volunteers combing the canal in hopes of finding her. The community remains hopeful but concerned as time passes without any sign of the missing teenager.

This unfortunate event serves as a somber reminder of the risks involved in making videos for social media, particularly in hazardous locations. It underscores the importance of prioritizing safety over content creation.

The incident has sparked discussions among parents, educators, and authorities about the need for greater awareness and caution when young people engage in such activities.
