Chief Executive Officer (CEO) health department Multan, Dr Faisal Qaisrani, was allegedly honey-trapped by a woman for Rs5 million extortion money, police said on Saturday.

According to the police complaint filed by the victim, he was approached by the suspect, identified as Amber, in Al-Falah market on July 20.

The accused woman, along with her three accomplices, got into his car and offered him a drink that rendered him unconscious, the police report added.

When Dr Qaisrani regained consciousness three hours later, he found himself in Hasanabad area with his vehicle, but several valuables, including Rs90,000 cash, glasses worth Rs40,000, a watch, and his NIC, were missing.

The police investigation revealed that the accused had demanded Rs5 million from Dr Qaisrani to prevent the release of his indecent photos.

The government official gave Rs500,000 extortion money to the suspects on July 23.

The authorities are conducting raids to arrest the suspects, including, Palwasha alias Amber, Muhammad Asif, Mazhar Abbas, and Muhammad Sajjad, for further legal action.

Earlier on July 20, renowned writer Khalil-ur-Rehman fell prey to a honey trap scheme when a woman invited him to her house on the pretext of discussing a drama project.

Later, the Lahore police also confirmed that Mr Qamar was abducted and robbed after being honey-trapped by a woman, named Amina Urooj.

As per the details provided by the writer in FIR, the controversial figure received a call from Amina, who invited him to her residence in Bahria Town to discuss a drama project.

"I was sitting with the woman when someone knocked on the door, and she told me it might be a delivery boy as she had ordered some food," Qamar stated in his complaint.

He disclosed that seven armed men then entered the room and forced him to surrender his belongings, including his car keys and mobile phone.

The suspects withdrew Rs267,000 from the ATM after compelling Qamar to disclose his PIN. He was then forced into a car, subjected to physical torture, and abandoned in a deserted location.

Addressing a press conference later, the playwright revealed that doctors had advised him to avoid sunlight. For this reason, he met with the woman late at night.
