Following the decision to not allow the cricket team to play the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan, India also refused to send its Kabaddi team for the matches scheduled to start on November 19.

The first match between the two teams was to be played on November 19. The neighboring team was also set to play matches in Lahore on November 21 and in Bahawalpur on November 23.

“Officials in the Indian Kabaddi Federation said that they have not gotten a permit from the concerned in India to go Pakistan for the tournament,” Secretary Pakistan Kabaddi Federation Muhammad Sarwar quoted India's counterpart.

Sarwar expressed regret over India’s action, as the “national team did a lot of practice and trained itself well for the match,” but after India’s denial, Pakistan will play matches with local teams at Kartarpur.

Moreover, it is also being said that India has not issued a no objection certificate (NOC) to the blind cricket team so far. Without NOC their team would not participate in the T20 World Cup, set to be held on November 23 in Pakistan.

The said development comes as India has refused its team to Pakistan for the ICC Champion Trophy 2025.

In October, when the Indian Foreign Minister visited Pakistan to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation’s meeting, it was believed that prolonged ice would be melted soon.

Nevertheless, after a month, the situation returned, and India refused to send its teams to Pakistan.
