Arshad Nadeem reaches Islamabad with family on special flight for PM’s dinner

Star athlete Arshad Nadeem has arrived in Islamabad from Multan with his family on a special flight to attend a dinner hosted by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House.
Speaking to the media in Islamabad, alongside Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar and his coach Salman Iqbal Butt, Arshad Nadeem expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful to the Prime Minister for honoring me in this manner."
The Olympic gold medalist credited his current success to the foundation laid by Shehbaz Sharif in 2012, which he believes was instrumental in his achievements. He shared that breaking the Olympic record was made possible by the prayers of many and expressed his deep appreciation for the warm welcome he received upon his return.
Arshad also emphasized the importance of government support for athletes, highlighting the dedication of his coach, Salman Butt, who he said cared for him as if he were his own child.
Federal Minister for Information Attaullah Tarar, on this occasion, thanked Arshad Nadeem for accepting the Prime Minister's invitation. He added that the entire nation is proud of Arshad, and he will proudly represent Pakistan by raising the national flag at events on August 14.
Earlier today, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the home of Arshad Nadeem to personally congratulate him on his gold medal victory. During her visit, she presented him with a cheque for Rs100 million in recognition of his outstanding achievement.
