Pakistan's white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan and pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi climbed up the ICC T20I Rankings, according to the latest update released on Wednesday.
Rizwan's 74-run innings off 62 balls in Pakistan’s 11-run loss to South Africa in the first T20I contributed to his rise in the ICC T20I Batting Rankings. He moved up two places to claim the sixth position with 713 rating points.
However, his opening partner, Babar Azam, dropped two spots to seventh after being dismissed for a four-ball duck in the same match.
South Africa’s David Miller also made notable progress, jumping nine places to secure the 42nd position following his match-winning 82 off 40 balls.
In the bowling rankings, Shaheen Afridi advanced six places to reach the 20th spot. Afridi's three-wicket haul in the first T20I brought him to a milestone of 100 T20I wickets. Meanwhile, fellow pacer Haris Rauf fell three positions to 23rd, with 588 points.
In the ICC Test Rankings, Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan moved up one place each, securing 18th and 21st positions, respectively, in the batting charts.
England's Harry Brook overtook his teammate Joe Root to claim the top spot in Test batting rankings after an exceptional performance against New Zealand.
The rankings reflect recent performances and highlight players’ contributions across formats.
