Babar Azam honored with display of his bat at prestigious MCG

Former Pakistan skipper Babar Azam's bat will join a collection of legendary cricketers' bats in the Melbourne Cricket Ground's (MCG) Long Room.

At the request of MCG officials, Babar donated the bat he used during the 2022 T20 World Cup.

According to officials, it will be placed in the Long Room of MCG, among the bats of Don Bradman, David Bone, Jack Hobbs, and Brian Lara.

Admirers’ king Babar Azam shared the exciting news on his Instagram, taking is as honoured that his bat will be “among legends at the @MCG Long Room.”

“I have a lot of memories that happened in the MCG, it is one of the best grounds, and it is an honour to have my bat placed alongside the bats of the world's greatest batsmen.”

It is pertinent to mention here that Babar Azam played in the final of the T20 World Cup 2022 in Melbourne.
