Pakistani star batter Babar Azam on Wednesday lost one spot in the International Cricket Council (ICC) test rankings, sliding to the fourth position, according to the weekly update issued by the global cricket body.
The 29-year-old cricketer stands at number four with 768 points, however, England's Harry Brook secured third position with 771 points.
The 25-year-old British batsman also surpassed Daryl Mitchell, Steve Smith, and Rohit Sharma as he climbed four spots to clinch third position.
The first position was grabbed by New Zealand's Kane Williamson with 859 points followed by England's Joe Root, who bagged the second spot with 852 points.
England's dominant performance in the second Test against West Indies led them to significant gains in the ICC Men’s Test players ranking.
However, Babar Azam was seen persisted in his ODI and T20I rankings.
On the other hand, Pakistani bowlers could not qualify in the top five ranking of ICC in all three cricket formats.
