Former skipper Babar Azam has put forward his demand in front of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to give him captaincy of all three formats, ESPN Cricinfo reported on Friday.

However, the cricket body has decided to appoint the 29-year-old cricketer as white-ball skipper.

The publication said that Babar would not consider PCB's offer if he is not given the reins of all three formats.

The cover-drive maestro has also joined the fitness camp at the Army School of Physical Training (ASPT) in Kakul as team captain today, sources said.

However, the final decision regarding the new skipper will be announced by the cricket body on Friday.

Currently, Shaheen Shah Afridi is leading the Pakistan team in the T20 format, and Shah Masood captains in the Test format.

Shaheen Shah Afridi's poor performance in a series against New Zealand in January prompted PCB to replace him.
