Former Indian player Irfan Pathan drew the ire of Pakistani social media after he took a jibe at Green Shirts for losing the T20 World Cup match against India.

India defeated Pakistan by six runs in a low-score match at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday night.

Babar Azam invited Rohit Sharma to bat first after winning the toss in the high-voltage match.

Pakistan bowlers restricted Blue Shirts at 119 runs, the lowest target made by team India in the mega event.

However, the Pakistan team couldn't manage to chase the knee-high target and lost the match to India. Pakistan ended their innings at 113-7 in 20 overs.

Following the defeat, the Indian commentator took to microblogging site X to take aim at the Pakistani nation.

"Jitne bhi padosi Bakwas Kar rahe the ab Batana SUNDAY kesa Raha? [All the neighbors who were talking nonsense now tell me how was Sunday?]," he said in a post.

In the comments section, cricket fans strongly reacted to the unwanted remarks posted by the former Indian pacer.

This is not the first time the fast bowler has made such an unsportsmanlike comment as previously, he has faced criticism on multiple occasions for such behaviour.
