Peshawar Zalmi owner, Javed Afridi, has gifted a luxury car to skipper Babar Azam in recognition of his outstanding performance in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
Afridi took to social media to share photos of Babar with the car, where the latter was seen sitting beside his boss in the vehicle.
Babar was the highest scorer in the tournament, with 569 runs in 11 innings at an average of 56.90, including five 50s and a century.
Although Zalmi was a strong favorite to win the tournament, they lost both knockout games against Multan Sultans and Islamabad United, respectively.
Notably, Babar is currently leading the Pakistan team against New Zealand in the five-match T20I series, which is level at 1-1 with two matches remaining at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.
During the third T20I, which Pakistan lost by seven wickets, Babar surpassed Australia's Aaron Finch to become the leading run-scorer as T20I captain.
Babar is also Pakistan's leading run-scorer in short overs format, with 3749 runs in 105 innings, including 33 fifties and three centuries.
It's worth noting that the 29-year-old batter was reappointed as captain in white-ball formats before the start of the New Zealand series, while Shaheen Shah Afridi was removed as skipper after just one series.
