The Karachi Traffic Police on Monday announced a detailed traffic diversion plan for the ongoing tri-nation series and the upcoming Champions Trophy, which is set to begin on February 19 at the National Stadium.
The Champions Trophy, featuring eight teams and 15 matches, will be held from February 19 to March 9 across Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Dubai. Group A consists of Pakistan, India, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, while Group B includes Afghanistan, South Africa, England, and Australia.
The tournament opener will see Pakistan face New Zealand in Karachi on February 19, while the highly anticipated Pakistan-India match will take place in Dubai on February 23.
According to the traffic police statement, Karachi will host two matches of the tri-nation series on February 12 and 14, along with three Champions Trophy matches on February 19, 21, and March 1.
During match days, Sir Shah Suleman Road will remain open for regular traffic.

Parking for spectators arriving from Karsaz, Millennium Mall, and New Town will be available at the National Coaching Centre and China Ground, accessible via the underpass.
Heavy traffic will be permitted on routes including Sohrab Goth to Nipa, Liaquatabad No.10 to Hassan Square, and PP Chowrangi to University Road. However, it will be restricted on Karsaz to Stadium Road, Millennium to New Town, and Stadium Road to Hassan Square.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan their travel accordingly to avoid inconvenience.
