Pakistan's Mueed Baloch made the country proud by winning the gold medal at the ongoing World Military Cadet Games in Venezuela.

The fourth International Military Sports Council (CISM) World Cadet Games kicked off at the Fuerte Tiuna military base in Caracas, Venezuela's capital, on August 17.

Mueed Baloch, representing Pakistan, left all competitors behind in the men's 400-metre race on Tuesday, completing the distance in 48.20 seconds and securing the top spot on the podium.

After his victory, Baloch celebrated by dancing in traditional style, raising the flag of Pakistan high.

Notably, Mueed Baloch, a Pakistan Air Force athlete, also holds the national record in the 400-metre with a timing of 46.73 seconds.

Baloch's journey began in February 2015 when he participated in his first track competition at the National Coaching Centre, clocking 12.50 seconds in the Aman Tech 100m sprint.
