Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has demanded an explanation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) over the omission of Pakistan’s name in the Champions Trophy 2025 branding during Thursday’s live broadcast of the India versus Bangladesh match in Dubai.

The broadcast graphics featured only the event title in the top left corner, omitting Pakistan’s name, despite the nation being the official host.

In contrast, the tournament opener in Karachi between Pakistan and New Zealand and a subsequent match between Afghanistan and South Africa both included Pakistan’s name in their broadcast graphics.

PCB officials expressed strong dissatisfaction with the ICC’s informal explanation, which cited an early technical glitch as the cause.

The board has requested assurances that such an error will not recur. The ICC, while acknowledging the technical issue, stated that it will not impact future matches regardless of whether they are held in Pakistan or the UAE.

This incident precedes the highly anticipated clash scheduled for Sunday in Dubai, where India will take on Pakistan.
