The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced that the highly-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 10 draft will take place in the first week of January.
The draft ceremony, which had sparked rumors of being held abroad, will be conducted at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, with player selections beginning at 6 PM.
All six PSL franchises are expected to announce their player retentions before the draft. This year’s event marks a significant shift in venue, as the previous draft was held at the National Cricket Academy.
Big-name players, including Steve Smith, David Warner, and Kane Williamson, are expected to feature in the draft pool. However, players under red-ball contracts with the England Cricket Board (ECB), such as Jason Roy, will be ineligible due to a recent ECB ruling.
The draft process will allow each team to select players from various categories, including Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Emerging players. Multan Sultans will have the first pick in this year’s draft.
