PSL 10 players’ draft to be held in Gwadar

The picturesque port city of Gwadar in Balochistan has been chosen to host the player draft for the upcoming 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

The choice of Gwadar as the venue was aimed at taking the popular game to the people of this part of the province and encouraging the coming generation to adopt cricket as a professional sport.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi  said that with its magnificent coastline and strategic importance, Gwadar is at the heart of Pakistan’s economic future.

He stated that by hosting the PSL Player Draft here, our aim was to highlight Gwadar's cultural and economic importance and celebrate the game of cricket that unites our nation.

The PCB Chairman said that he was looking forward to welcoming all the franchises and relevant stakeholders to the beautiful city of Gwadar on January 11th.

Salman Naseer, Chief Executive Officer of HBL PSL, said that this initiative reflects our commitment to expanding the reach of the cricket league to every corner of Pakistan and showcasing the beauty of Pakistan to the world.
