Portugal's football star Cristiano Ronaldo has made a remarkable debut on YouTube with his channel "UR · Cristiano", achieving an unprecedented milestone of over 13 million subscribers in just 15 hours.
He also set a new world record of amassing 1 million subscribers in just one and a half hours.
The record was previously held by South Korean singer Jennie Kim, who reached 1 million subscribers in 7 hours.
Analysts predict that Ronaldo's channel could potentially become the most popular YouTube channel globally, challenging the current number one spot held by American influencer Mr Beast with 311 million subscribers.
In his first video, Ronaldo expressed his excitement about "finally" launching his YouTube channel, a long-held ambition.
Al Nassr star said he will maintain a strong connection with his fans through social media and "looks forward to utilising this new platform to share his passion for football".
The 39-year-old footballer plans to focus on football-related content on his channel, offering fans a unique perspective on the sport.
However, Ronaldo was also honoured with the coveted YouTube golden button for amassing millions of followers on the video-sharing platform.
