Former Pakistan cricket team and Quetta Gladiators captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was notably absent from the HBL Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 Draft, as none of the six franchises selected him for the upcoming season.

The PSL 10 Player Draft, held at the historic Shahi Qila, saw teams assemble their squads by picking players from various categories such as Platinum, Diamond, Gold, and Silver, as well as additional selections from the Emerging category.

Despite his past contributions to both the national team and Quetta Gladiators, Ahmed was overlooked by all franchises, including his former team, Quetta Gladiators, marking the end of his long association with the side.

The day before the draft, Ahmed had announced the conclusion of his nine-year tenure with the Gladiators, expressing gratitude to the team’s owners and management for their support.

While sources had suggested the franchise might offer him an important role within the team, no selection was made during the draft, leaving the experienced wicketkeeper-batsman out of PSL 10.
