Mushfiqur Rahim became the first Bangladesh player to be dismissed for handling the ball on Wednesday.
The bizarre incident took place during the second test match being played between New Zealand and the hosts Bangladesh in Mirpur.
Mushfiqur Rahim was found guilty of stopping the ball deliberately. He was not in danger of getting bowled on the delivery of Kyle Jamieson, but a lapse in concentration could be the reason behind the bizarre moment.
The right-handed batter scored 35 runs, but his dismissal again put the host nation on the back foot. He was the fifth batter to depart with not even 150 runs on the board on the first day of the second Test against New Zealand.
Earlier, Mitchell Santner and Ajaz Patel took two wickets each to rip through the top order of the sub-continent team.
The social media users are reacting to the situation and terming it as Karma.
