Following Pakistan’s victory over South Africa in the third T20 match, captain Salman Ali Agha and star batter Babar Azam engaged in a cheerful conversation on PCB Digital, reflecting on their partnership and the team’s success.
During the exchange, Salman praised Babar’s innings, saying that whenever the former captain scores runs, “the entire nation feels confident that Pakistan will win.”
Playfully, Salman asked Babar why he made him “run so much” between the wickets. Laughing, Babar replied, “You were the one taking more doubles — after all, you’re the captain.”
Babar discussed his batting approach during the match, noting that he faced some challenges against spinners but coordinated with Salman to take calculated risks. When Salman jokingly asked, “So, did the ball finally come in your range?” both players burst into laughter.
Reflecting on his form, Babar said he trusted his shots and remained focused despite occasional challenges. “Sometimes everything seems fine but things don’t go your way. I just try to stay positive and keep working hard,” he added.
Concluding the discussion, Salman commended Babar’s dedication and discipline, saying that even when he’s out of form, his work ethic and consistency make him a great player.
