28-year-old doctor killed in robbery near Karachi's Teen Talwar, family stages protest

A 28-year-old doctor, Akash, was shot dead during an alleged robbery near Three Talwar in Karachi. Following the incident, his family staged a sit-in with his body at Teen Talwar in Clifton, demanding justice and chanting, "Dr. Akash ke qatal ka insaf karou."
Speaking to Dialogue Pakistan, Akash's cousin, Sanjay Kumar, recounted the incident. He said, "hum waha per aye meine gari khari ki, inko bola ke ap paise jama krwaein mein yahin hu, 2 bikes thi, ek bike driving side ki taraf thi usne firing ki, jese hi firing ki, mein neeche hogaya, mera sir zameen per laga, mere sath mere chachu jo ke Akash k walid thay wo bhi bach gye."
He further claimed, "wo Darwaza khol ke usko firing kr k usko mar k chaly gye, uska khoon beh raha tha wo ussi waqt mar gaya."
According to Sanjay Kumar, the suspects did not demand money before opening fire. He said that if they had asked, the family would have handed over their belongings, adding, "Jaan se barh k kuch nai hai bhai."
Demanding the arrest of those responsible, he said, "Hamara yehi mutalba hai ke unko arrest kia jaye, ye porsh ilaqa hai Clifton ka, ye banda kese mara gaya, ye Sindh govt kya kr rhi hai sirf tax lerhi hai?"
