Action Ho Gaya? | Three Arrested in Dr Akash M*rder Case | Karachi Police

KARACHI: DIGP South Zone Syed Asad Raza said that Karachi Police made significant progress in the investigation into the murder of Dr Akash by using CCTV footage and forensic evidence collected from the crime scene.

Speaking to Dialogue Pakistan, Asad Raza said, "After the incident we got footages and started working on it. We went to the bank where the incident took place and took all the required information about cash account details and inside camera footages."

"Karachi police ne apni maharat se,institutional memory istimal kartay huey mulzaman ka pata laga lia."

He said the investigation team collected CCTV footage from the bank and surrounding areas to trace the suspects.

He also showed CCTV footage of the incident, saying that one member of the gang acted as the informative source and had provided information about Dr. Akash. According to the footage, there were four robbers involved in the crime, with two seated in the front and two in the back. During the robbery, Dr. Akash was shot and killed after the suspects opened fire.

The robbers fled the scene, after which Karachi Police obtained footage from all available cameras, including local and private surveillance systems. Investigators followed the suspects' movements by reviewing around 200 CCTV footages.

The DIGP further said that police successfully tracked down and arrested three suspects involved in the case.

"3 mulziman mulawis thay,teeno ko giriftar krlia,aur saman bhi barabad kia hai,jis mein pistol bhi thay aur mulziman ki giriftari thana defence se hui hai,teeno mulziman hindu community se taluq rakhtay hain."
