Challan Aajata, Qatil Giraftar Nahi Hotay? | YDA Mourns Dr Akash | Karachi Protest

The Young Doctors Association (YDA) at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) staged a protest on Wednesday, demanding justice for Dr Akash, who was shot dead by robbers after they allegedly snatched Rs25 lakh from him near Teen Talwar in Clifton, Karachi.

The protesting doctors called on law enforcement authorities to immediately arrest those responsible and ensure justice for the slain physician.

While speaking to the media, one of Dr Akash's colleagues described him as a hardworking and compassionate doctor. "He was a very hardworking and gentle man. He used to take care of patients with his whole heart," the doctor said.

Another doctor expressed frustration over the pace of the investigation. "Yaar dil ke gehraiyon se afsos hai, inki CCTV challan bhej rhy hain, katil ko giriftar nahi krskty hain." He further added, "24 ghantay ho chukay hain ab tak qatil ko kyun nai giriftar kia gaya hai."

Another protesting doctor questioned why someone who had dedicated his life to medicine became a victim of such violence, "Uska qusoor kya tha, jis insan ne 25 saal sirf taleem ko diye hon, humne protest isliye kia hai ke unki family ko bata skein ke hum unke sath kharay hain."

Another participant urged authorities to investigate whether there had been any internal information leak, "the IG Sindh should investigate about this that the bank wasn't involved with the robbers, because how would they even come to know that Akash was about to transfer the money," he said.

The doctors demanded the immediate arrest of the suspects and a transparent investigation into the incident, saying justice for Dr Akash and reassurance for his family should be the government's priority.
