A protest was held at Teen Talwar Chowrangi in Karachi, where citizens gathered to demand justice for Mir Raza and called for a transparent investigation into his death.

During the demonstration, Dialogue Pakistan spoke to several protesters, who expressed frustration over what they described as the authorities' lack of response.

Many protesters said six days had passed since the incident, yet they had not seen meaningful progress in the investigation. They urged the authorities to expedite the case and ensure those responsible are brought to justice.

Actor Ayaz Samoo, who joined the protest, voiced concern over the growing sense of insecurity in Karachi. He said the repeated loss of young lives was deeply alarming and questioned how many more funerals families would have to endure. He urged the government to make Karachi safer for its residents and to treat the case with the seriousness it deserves.

Another protester criticised the handling of the case, claiming that only limited footage had been made public and alleging that the investigation was being delayed. Referring to reports suggesting suicide, the protester questioned that narrative, arguing that the circumstances surrounding the death required a thorough and impartial inquiry.

One participant said Mir Raza's wedding was scheduled for August 30 and questioned claims that he had taken his own life. The protester said the family and supporters could not accept such conclusions without a complete investigation, adding that they believed important facts had yet to come to light.

Lawyer and activist Fahad Baloch also attended the demonstration alongside his younger brother. He said he had joined the protest to demand accountability and called for those responsible to be identified and punished in accordance with the law.

Throughout the protest, participants repeatedly said their only demand was justice, not only for Mir Raza but for others who have lost their lives under similar circumstances. They urged the authorities to conduct a fair, transparent and timely investigation.

An influencer who addressed the gathering also called for stronger measures to improve security in Karachi, saying that if administrative reforms were necessary to restore public safety, they should be seriously considered.
