A three-year-old child, Ayat Noor, was allegedly run over and killed by a drunk Vigo driver yesterday, according to her grandfather.

Speaking to Dialogue Pakistan, Ayat Noor's grandfather claimed that the driver was intoxicated and that the passenger seated beside him was also drunk.

Citing eyewitness accounts, he said the accused had been arguing with someone before driving away. According to the eyewitness, "usne bachi k uper tyre charhaya aur dukandar ne usko phir pump k pas pakra."

The grandfather further alleged that when people tried to stop the suspects they pushed the man away, "jis banday ne uska giriban pakra unho ne usko bhhi dhaka dekr gira dia, bilkul nashay mein thay, 5 police walon ne check kia nashay mein thy, badbu arhi thi unke pas se."

He also claimed that the vehicle carried a PPP number plate and party flag. The grandfather further alleged, "police mujrimom ka sath de rahi thi, hamara nahi, jab humne shor kia ke conference krengy to phir FIR kati unho ne."

Expressing frustration, the grandfather said there is no justice in Pakistan, adding that this is why people continue to commit crimes without fear.

The allegations have been made by the victim's grandfather and have not been independently verified. Police have not publicly responded to these claims.
