"Ye jail nahi ek islah ghar hai" says prisoner Muhammad Ijaz

42-year-old Muhammad Ijaz, an inmate serving 25 years of imprisonment at Karachi's Central Jail, has transformed his life into a painter and became a beacon of hope for his family from prison.

Through the sale of his artwork, Ijaz fulfilled his mother's lifelong dream of performing Umrah and also organised his sister's wedding.

He urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to consider reducing his sentence, expressing a fervent desire to contribute to society through his art.
