A Palestinian medic was devastated and broke down in tears after discovering his mother’s body among the martyrs while he was transporting them to a hospital following an Israeli airstrike.
A heartbreaking video circulated on social media showed the aftermath of an IDF attack that targeted a vehicle near the Al-Maghazi refugee camp in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza.
The perturbed man named Abdulaziz Al-Bardini, was a Palestine Red Crescent volunteer.
In the video, he was seen crying profusely and screaming in shock as his mother’s body was covered in a white blanket.
“This is my mother; I swear it’s my mother. I didn’t recognise her,” the man shouted in disbelief.
“I want to see her,” the Palestinian paramedic said while embracing his mother’s body, as his fellow medic tried to console him in the tragic situation.
“I never imagined that one day I would lose you,” he said to his deceased mother.
"The doctors informed them that she had passed away. Abdulaziz lifted the cover from her face, only to be shocked to find it was his mother," PRCS stated on X.

“Oh God, I didn’t recognize her. Oh God, Mom, no, I didn’t recognize you. Oh God, Mom, my beloved. My God, I can’t bear this. My father, my brothers, and now you—by God, I can’t bear it. I swear I can’t bear this. Am I never going to see you again?!”

There is substantial evidence of war crimes committed by the Israeli military during its Gaza offensive, with thousands of civilians, including children, killed in playgrounds, hospitals, refugee camps, and residential areas.
The Israeli army has intensified its attacks on the enclave despite the orders of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to cease military operations in the Gaza Strip.
In September, a UN report warned about Israel’s deliberate policy of starving Palestinians, who are grappling with famine and disease that are taking their lives at a more rapid pace than Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip.
The overall Palestinian death toll since the beginning of Israel’s war on Gaza has reached at least 43,824 with more than 100,833 wounded. Thousands more remain trapped under the rubble of destroyed buildings.
