A British influencer expressed his frustration over unhygienic food and poor medical treatment in India after suffering severe food poisoning, which was made worse by hospital staff’s negligence, leading him to cut his trip short.

Popular on social media as Sam Pepper Clips, the influencer shared his story in an Instagram post, saying, "I did the worst thing anyone could do in India and ended up in a hospital."

Sam recounted having a milk drink from a street food vendor, where an elderly man was mixing the drink with his bare hands. The vendor had been selling the drink for 17 years and was popular in the local area.

The conditions at the shop were unhygienic, with the vendor’s dirty fingernails were clearly visible as he prepared the drink.

“I tried that finger milk myself,” Sam said, adding that he trusted the vendor because “he was a holy man.”

Sam liked the taste of the drink and later smoked cannabis with local "sadhus."

The next morning, he woke up “violently vomiting.” After the vomiting subsided, he experienced a high fever and noticed blood in his stool.

His condition worsened when a doctor, who was called to his home for a checkup, prescribed medication that further damaged his digestive bacteria.

Sam’s Indian friend then took him to a hospital, where he was admitted. However, he woke up in the middle of the night to find blood on his bed and clothes because a nurse had forgotten to close the valve on the needle in his arm.

Following this ordeal, Sam lashed out at the hospital for their negligence. In one of his videos, he can be seen crying and shouting, "I don’t feel safe here."

Sam cut short his trip to India after this distasteful experience and travelled to Bangkok, where he underwent medical treatment to diagnose his condition.
