A kind-hearted Palestinian man who had adopted a newborn baby after rescuing him from the rubble of a building following an Israeli attack reunited the child with his father after their story was broadcast in the media.
As the man was interviewed by an Arab news channel, Al Kofiya TV, during his journey back to north Gaza after the ceasefire, he also shared the story of the little child he was holding.
A video of the man went viral, in which he told a woman during an interview that the child was not his own. He explained that he had found the baby alone and had since adopted and cared for him.
The man shared that he had been displaced from Jabalia after his home was completely destroyed in the Israeli military offensive.
“I don’t know who his parents are. I found him at Al-Rafi Elementary School. He was still in his swaddle clothes when I took him. He calls me ‘Dad,’” he said.

He further explained that he had fled Jabalia with the child, uncertain of his parents’ whereabouts.
“When I visited the site after the attack, I found everyone ‘torn apart.’ They were all martyred,” he said. “But I saw this baby crying.”
Hoping to reunite the child with his missing parents, the man had been caring for him ever since.
Finally, the baby's father was found alive and identified his child after coming across the story in the news.
The father told the media that he had lost all hope of ever finding his baby but expressed gratitude to God for making it possible.
The man who had adopted the baby handed him over to his father, and the child immediately went to his biological parent without hesitation.

“I am very happy,” said the man who had cared for the baby.
The child's father said, “I struggled a lot while searching for Muhammad, to the point that I lost hope at the beginning of ever finding him.”
“I got to know the boy by chance while browsing through my cell phone,” he shared.
The man mentioned that his home was destroyed and the baby’s mother was killed in the Israeli attack, adding, “But thanks to Allah, I have gathered my children in my arms.”
