Indian nurse fends off gang-rape attempt by injuring doctor with blade

Incidents of sexual assault on female staff in Indian hospitals are surfacing regularly, with another case where a nurse, during an attempted assault, cut off a doctor's sensitive organ.

According to Indian media, this incident took place on Thursday in a private hospital in Bihar, where a nurse allegedly cut the sensitive organ of a doctor with a sharp tool while he was attempting to assault her sexually and then fled the scene.

Local police reported that one of the suspects involved in the gang rape attempt was a doctor who also worked as an administrator at the RBS Healthcare Center in Gangapur.

The police further explained that the nurse was allegedly performing her duties when Dr. Sanjay Kumar and his two associates, under the influence of alcohol, attempted to sexually assault her. At that moment, the nurse used a blade to cut the doctor’s sensitive organ and managed to escape, reaching the police.

Following the nurse’s statement, the police arrested three people from the hospital, including Dr. Sanjay Kumar, and the other two suspects identified as Awdhesh Kumar and Sunil Kumar Gupta.

According to the police, CCTV footage from the hospital revealed that the attackers disconnected the CCTV connection before the assault and locked the hospital from the inside. All three individuals were intoxicated, and a case has been registered against them.
