Indian tourist arrested for posting insulting videos about Turkiye

An Indian tourist, allegedly known online as Malik Swashbuckler and reportedly popular across platforms like YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, was detained by Turkish authorities after videos surfaced showing him making sexually explicit and offensive remarks about Turkish women.
The content, primarily in Hindi, initially went unnoticed by many local viewers but quickly gained attention after Turkish social media users flagged the videos.
In a video that has gone viral on the internet, the YouTuber can be seen roaming in a market with a woman.
He then can be seen abusing local shopkeepers after asking whether they have a tricolour in their shop. He can be heard abusing the locals and smiling at the woman.
In another particularly disturbing clip, the man is heard making a sexual comment about a Turkish woman and reportedly even asking his followers if he should rape her that night.
The videos caused a wave of online outrage, prompting swift action from Turkish law enforcement.

According to a report by Turkiye Today, the individual believed he could evade accountability by speaking in Hindi, assuming most locals would not understand the language.
However, social media vigilance by local users helped expose the content, leading to widespread condemnation and ultimately to his arrest.
